My life habits havenât always progressed⌠Itâs not too often I read a journal entry from months ago and realize âWow, I havenât implemented that yet even though I said I would.â Welcome to being human.
All aside, today, my routine is better than itâs ever been. Iâve implemented tiny habits, journaled every day for the last 7 years, and kept introducing more and more to my âbiostack.â
I want to share with you what my life looks like.
7:00 AM - Morning Awakening
I wake up and start my day with a invigorating elixir of ginger, turmeric, cacao, and assorted spices. Afterward, I lie on the floor, rolling and engaging in unstructured movement to awaken my body. I flow into yoga poses to further open up, then slip on my jacket and Earth Runners sandals for a 2-kilometer jog through the park.
7:45 AM - Breakfast & Creative Expression
Back home, I enjoy a nutrient-packed breakfast: a nutty pudding of chia seeds, wheat germ, and mixed nuts, topped with fresh berries. I write my daily "Joy Dose" and share it with my community, then post my Instagram Stories to connect with my audience.
8:30 AM - Second Outdoor Session
I head outside again, turning on a microphone to chronicle the previous day via voice dictation. At a tree equipped with rings, I perform a shoulder hang, followed by a single hill sprint. I complete my journaling and return home.
9:00 AM - Reflection & Work Prep
I listen to the previous dayâs journal while soaking in near-infrared light from my red light panels. Then, I begin my workday at my treadmill desk, seamlessly transitioning between sitting cross-legged, standing, and walking. After bathroom breaks, I incorporate a quick shoulder hang and leg raises to stay limber.
11:00 AM - Gym Session
I head to the gym for an intense workout. During breaks, I hang upside down and stretch my back on an exercise ball. I batch-reply to WhatsApp messages, then unwind in the sauna, stretching my legs and elevating my feet against the wall. After a refreshing shower, I return home.
Afternoon - Focused Work & Strategic Breaks
In the afternoon, I tackle high-priority tasks. Occasionally, I step out for a walk to brainstorm action plans and prioritize tasksâan essential practice as an entrepreneur facing endless possibilities.
Proposed Habit: I plan to integrate short sessions on my mini trampoline during these breaks to boost energy and creativity, aiming for 2â3 minutes, 2â3 times throughout the afternoon.
7:00 PM - Evening Wind-Down
I listen to podcasts during a final evening walk, then clean my house and prepare tomorrowâs breakfast. This routine grounds me and sets me up for the next day.
9:00 PM - Nightly Rituals
I take a hot shower or bath and power down all devices. I stretch my ankles and hips, then complete my evening shutdown checklist, documenting new micro-habits or tools to incorporate into my routine.
Proposed Habit: I aim to add a morning pages sessionâwriting one page of stream-of-consciousness thoughtsâto my evening routine, as it aligns with my reflective practices and supports creativity (inspired by The Artistâs Way). I read a book until I feel sleepy, then drift off quickly.
Hereâs what I am missing⌠a more structured, recurring social life. So I have a few options Iâve identified.
Planning more gym workouts with friends.
Attending parkour classes weekly.
Joining a frisbee league.
Joining a running club.
Joining the Odd Fellow Lodge.
