Aloha Connection Catalyst,

Iโ€™ve returned from another festival where I led a group of 500 people! Lots of ups and downs, as usual. Donโ€™t expect life to be all upsโ€ฆ

Here are my takeaways from this week.

  1. Frame the exercise to make it more effective.

  2. Modulate your humor so people know youโ€™re sincere.

  3. Stop connecting with people who donโ€™t align with your values.

  4. Some people are exhausted by authentic conversation.

โš  This is the public version from last week.

THE KICKOFF QUOTE

Someone must lose for someone to win. Competition is anti-relational.

THE UNREHEARSED UPDATE

I returned at 3am from a festival last night. I facilitated a human connection workshop, multiple water aerobics classes in a river, and a โ€˜cave meditation.โ€™

I am exhausted and about to depart for my next festival.

When you donโ€™t do drugs or alcohol like me, staying up late and dancing until sweat is pouring down my face takes a toll on the body.

The only reason I can bring so much energy and facilitate for so many hours is because I have my sleep and health practices!

THE (NEW) IMPLEMENTATION

Every week, I want to introduce one new tool/practice/habit that I have applied in my life as a facilitator of human connection and vitality.

This weekโ€ฆ

Ask โ€œCan I pause you?โ€ when you encounter people who have no awareness of how much or how quickly they talk.

NEW ARTICLE

The Daily Dose Of The Greatest Antidepressant.

HOW TO START A WORKSHOP

WHERE IS JACQUES?

Teaching healthy highs at a festival in the middle of British Columbia.

If youโ€™re serious about designing and leading community experiences for your team, company, friend group, conferenceโ€ฆ here's how I can help.
